Dr. John A. Jenkins is a board certified neurosurgeon practicing
at Florida Hospital Celebration. His practice involves both brain and spine surgery. He is experienced with all of the latest technologies and is presently performing cervical artificial disk replacement surgery
(arthroplasty). This exciting new technology allows for the preservation of motion at the surgical level. This may reduce the stress on the levels above and below the surgical level. One of the concerns with traditional cervical fusions is the stress placed on the disk level above and below the fusion. Stress at these levels can result in disk herniation at these levels in the future. This could require additional surgery in the future.
